These Terms & Conditions apply when you buy goods from STORTSLURF® through this UK website. Please read them before placing an order. They do not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
1. About us
STORTSLURF B.V., trading as STORTSLURF®, is registered in the Netherlands under Chamber of Commerce number 80712177. Our registered office is Kering 2–0003, 8072 TD Nunspeet, the Netherlands. Our UK correspondence address is 372 Old St, EC1V 9AU London, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@stort-slurf.uk.
2. Orders and contract formation
Our website and product information are an invitation to place an order. Your order is an offer to buy the goods. We will send an order acknowledgement by email, but a contract is formed only when we dispatch the goods or expressly confirm that we accept your order. We may decline an order where there is a genuine stock, pricing or product-description error; if we do, we will tell you promptly and refund any payment taken for that order.
3. Products and product information
We aim to describe and photograph our products accurately. Colours, dimensions and packaging may vary slightly from the images shown. This does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not meet the requirements of applicable law.
4. Prices, VAT and payment
Prices on this UK website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Product pages show prices excluding VAT and including VAT where applicable. Delivery charges and any applicable VAT are shown before you place your order. Payment is taken at checkout by the payment method you select. We do not offer invoice payment unless we agree this with you in writing before you order.
5. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders placed before 4 pm on a working day on the same day and aim to deliver within 2 working days to UK mainland addresses. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control. This does not affect your legal rights if delivery is late. Our standard delivery charge is £5.99 including VAT, unless a different charge is shown at checkout.
6. Your cancellation, return and refund rights
We offer a 30-day return period from the day you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, receive the goods. To start a return, contact us at info@stort-slurf.uk with your order details. You may use this wording: “I wish to cancel my order [order number] for [goods], ordered on [date] and received on [date].” We will send return instructions by email.
Please take reasonable care of the goods. You may inspect them as you would in a shop. If the value of the goods has been reduced because they were handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them, we may make an appropriate deduction from a refund where permitted by law.
For a change-of-mind return, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we agree otherwise. If the goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise do not meet the requirements of applicable law, we will provide the remedies required by law and bear reasonable return costs where applicable.
We normally process refunds within 5 working days after receiving the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back. We will always meet the refund timescales and refund method required by applicable law. Where a refund is due following cancellation, standard delivery charges will be refunded where required by law.
7. Faulty goods and consumer guarantees
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order details and a description of the issue. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. You may have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.
8. Liability
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses where you buy goods as a consumer, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
9. Intellectual property
All intellectual-property rights in this website, the STORTSLURF® brand, product information, images and content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or use our content or branding without our written permission, except where permitted by law.
10. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please read that policy to understand how we use your information.
11. Complaints and customer service
If you have a question or complaint, please contact us first at info@stort-slurf.uk. We will try to resolve the matter promptly and fairly. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from using any complaint, consumer-protection or legal remedy available to you.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the website at the time you place your order applies to that order.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the law of the country in which you live. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, meaning that you may bring a claim in another court where mandatory law allows you to do so.
